About Us

Brent Garrod came to Charlotte County in 1977 at 19 years of age. He had been working across the United States perfecting his trade and gaining an immense amount of experience. Garrod Drywall was established in 1988 and we have been blessed with exceptional employees that have helped us to build our reputation in the community to where it is today. To say that you can't drive down any road in Port Charlotte or Punta Gorda that hasn't been touched by him or one of his crews wouldn't be a stretch of the truth.

Workmanship

Brent was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2011 after fighting a battle with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever that specialists say should have taken his life. The sudden decline in his health has brought about certain changes in the company. Brent's youngest, Brittany Garrod, has stepped in to take over the role as president. Brittany is currently working as a Social Worker with the Department of Veteran's Affairs. Brent's oldest son, Steven Garrod, has also joined the Garrod team, and we are fortunate to have him. Steven works side by side with Brent coordinating projects and also with our customers by scheduling jobs and ensuring the office runs smoothly.
